Category: Work & Safety Boots

The Extinguisher II WLF is Zamberlan's second iteration of Wildland Firefighting boot boasting important structural improvements over past designs. Designed from the ground-up to be NFPA compliant while also being built for the mountain and the rigors of today's Wildland Firefighter. The Extinguisher is remarkably lightweight, completely fire-resistant, and more comfortable than any other WLF boot on the market. Improvements include double and triple stitching in key flex areas, additional suede leather over the ankles, the use of a new Kevlar-reinforced fire-resistant lace, and other important structural improvements to the uppers for added durability and longevity. The 9" tall Extinguisher is designed to prevent sole delamination, the most common and serious problem for Wildland Firefighting boots. After seven years of R&D and decades of expertise in welting & stitching, Zamberlan designed the Extinguisher with a side-stitched outsole that cannot delaminate.

Isabella ★★★★★

Wore these through a full shift on a prescribed burn and my feet stayed dry and blister-free the whole time. The NFPA compliance mattered to me since I need them for actual wildland work, and they hold up.

Carter I. ★★★★★

The ankle support on these is seriously solid without feeling stiff, which surprised me for a lace-up fire boot. Break-in took about a week but now they move with my feet on steep, rocky ground. The NFPA compliance was the dealbreaker for my crew, and they held up fine on a recent controlled burn.

Isabella F. ★★★★★

Wore these on a 14-hour shift cutting line and my feet stayed dry and stable the whole time. The structural upgrades over the older design are noticeable—way less ankle roll on uneven ground.
