WASATCH GTX - Brown

Broke these in on a steep shale slope and the Vibram sole bit in like it was nothing. The ankle support is stiff at first but that's exactly what I wanted sidehilling with weight on my back. Zero blisters after three days of chasing muleys.

Eight miles in with a 40-pound pack and my feet still felt solid, zero hotspots or rubbing. The leather and Gore-Tex combo kept me dry through a morning creek crossing and afternoon mud without getting clammy. Definitely the sturdiest boot I’ve owned for this kind of terrain.

Wore these for eleven days straight in the Idaho backcountry and my feet stayed dry through creek crossings and wet morning grass. The waterproof membrane really works, and the ankle support saved me on some loose scree. Stiff out of the box but they broke in nicely by day three.
